Why do you learn SQL?

I want to make a career transition from a non-tech field to data engineering. Learning SQL will be a key component to doing well in data engineering interviews.

I'm re-learning SQL because it has become increasingly more important with all the data intensive applications that prevalent today. Having the skills to extract meaningful data from a database quickly and efficiently is a great benefit to the business when they need this information to make decisions on how to drive more sales and more revenue.
Sqlpad.io is a great resource and offers a great environment to learn and experiment with SQL.

Well, I am a software developer and few months ago I have started learning SQL becasue various occupations, including developers, data analysts, data scientists, and business professionals, can greatly benefit from learning SQL. I am also looking to strong these points that's why I am looking to learn SQL.
